that is in the russian river over 13. middingtown 12. mt. diablo 10.71. bruce brown 9.25. kentfield almost 9.5. la honda 8.74. blossom hill 5.75. it's dry today. patchy fog. nothing too outrageous yet. that can form between 6:00 and 8:00. rain returns tuesday. it won't be too heavy but our forecast models are trending a little heavier. high clouds today. mostly sunny partly cloudy. rain into wednesday and then out of here. then we will see a pattern change. there is one more system. today is that between day but right there a lot of cloud cover inching closer. 39 though much, much cooler here. low 40s livermore. you will notice there is a chill in the morning air. okay today and then one more system increasing clouds that will give us rain into wednesday morning. our cloud and rain forecast shows increasing clouds today. i think it's a little fast. by tuesday morning rain moves in and during the day starts to move into the north bay. and then there it is late tuesday into early wednesday. after that we will see it fall apart and go into a colder pattern. partly sunny today. patchy fog to the north. real

his senate seat, right? >> that is correct. remember, scott brown picked up the kennedy seat in massachusetts and he lost it to elizabeth warren in the last election. so there is that scenario that if john kerry were to get that post, then that opens it up again for scott brown to pick up that seat. a couple of things. first of all, it's widely known out there that john kerry wants the job. but, of course, you know, the story we've all been talking about that susan rice appears to be above on that list. that's the first thing. all of this speculation about who could get that job and, you know, if he got that job then this person could pick up the seat in massachusetts, it really is all just sort of hypothetical here. the president has not put forward a nomination yet. there's a lot of wrangling going on. democrats are saying republicans are playing politics here. at the end of the day, it's all hypothetical until the president puts a nomination on. >> it's interesting to watch and chat about. dan lothian, thank you. >> okay. >>> it's a black friday hangover for a major retail

from bull's best said. polls-simpson said brown the base, lower the rates. we now have the president's proposing raising the rates and opposing a base-broadening measure. republicans want to keep the rate same and run the base, but that is different. bowles-simpson had it right. i look at the logic of the white house with regard to the idea of capping a itemized deductions. i would like to take a look at it from a cost-benefit point of view. we're looking at tax expenditures, and we should benefits inst of doing it. they're against it for two reasons, the first one was effected some taxpayers making less than 2 hen $50,000, which is true. this would be a $50,000 cap, said the people we're talking about are people who are using way above average levels of itemized deductions at that level. when -- to the analysis using the tabulated data, i get about 1.2 million taxpayers with incomes under $250,000 over the $50,000 cap. according to the white house, they are proposing to get around that by a method that costs $200 billion over the 10 years. if you apportion that to protect these 1.2
